DIG Mosharraf’s 3rd death anniv today

The third death anniversary of Mosharraf Hossain Bhuiyan, a former deputy inspector general of Bangladesh Police, will be observed today.

On the occasion, milad mahfil and recitation from Holy Quran will be organised at his native village of Boradol in Gazipur district.

DIG Mosharraf served as editor of ‘The Detective’, an official mouthpiece of Bangladesh Police, until his death. He received President Police Award 2000 for his professional excellence.

Mosharraf wrote and edited several pieces of literature including Janak Amar Bangabandhu, Poetry on Bangabandhu and Liberation War, Six Points. Mosharraf also wrote for kids. For literary excellence, he received several recognition of Jasim Uddin Literature Awards, Mother Teresa Awards, Che Guevara Awards.
