Bangladesh U-19 team reached the final in the ongoing triangular series in India after beating India U-19 A team by six runs in their third match at Eden Gardens in Kolkata on Thursday.

In-form batters Prantik Nawrose and Mahfijul Islam shone with the bat once again as they made 62 and 56 runs respectively before the junior Tigers were bowled out for 230 runs in 47.2 overs after they were sent into bat first.

Rishith Reddy of India U-19 A team was the most successful bowler picking up 5-53 while Garv Sangwan and Nishant Sindhu took two wickets each.

India U-19 A team opener Angkrish Raghuvanshi then struck 88 runs while Aryan Dalal made 39 runs that kept the hosts very much in the game.

However, Bangladesh U-19 bowlers showcased tremendous fightback in the death overs and bowled their opponents all out for 224 runs in 49.4 overs to complete their third successive victory in the tournament.

Pacer Tanzim Hasan Sakib and off-spinner S M Meherob Hasan finished with 3-29 and 3-36 respectively while pacer Ripon Mondol took two wickets for the visitors.

Bangladesh U-19 team earlier defeated India U-19 A team and India U-19 B team by two wickets and 113 runs respectively in their opening two matches of the tournament.

They will play their last league match against India U-19 B team at the same venue on Saturday before facing any one of them in the final on December 7.
