The graduation ceremony of National Defence Course (NDC) 2021 and Armed Forces War Course (AFWC) 2021 was held at Sheikh Hasina Complex in Mirpur Cantonment on Thursday.

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina virtually attended the programme as the chief guest and congratulated all course members of NDC - 2021 and AFWC - 2021 for successful completion of the courses.

Commandant of National Defence College Lt Gen Md Akbar Hossain congratulated the graduating members and thanked the faculty members and staff officers of the college for their dedicated efforts in conducting the courses successfully.

This year the NDC comprises of thirty-one brigadier generals from Bangladesh Army, six commodores from Bangladesh Navy, six air commodores from Bangladesh Air Force.

Besides, one additional secretary and fourteen joint secretaries from administration and other civil services cadres, one director general from foreign services and two deputy inspector general from Bangladesh Police participated in the course.

Twenty-seven overseas course members of the rank of colonel/brigadier general/major general and equivalent from 13 friendly countries have also participated in NDC- 2021.

This year the AFWC comprised of three colonels and thirty-four lieutenant colonels from Bangladesh Army, three captains and six commanders from Bangladesh Navy and eight group captains and one wing commander from Bangladesh Air Force.
