Bangladesh U-19 team clinched successive victories in the ongoing triangular series in India after they defeated India U-19 B team by 113 runs at Eden Gardens in Kolkata on Wednesday.

Top-order batsman Prantik Nawrose starred with the bat as he struck 101 off 108 balls while S M Meherob Hasan and Iftakhar Hossain scored 70 not out and 57 runs respectively to guide the visitors post a massive 305-6 in their 50 overs after they elected to bat first.

Off-spinner Ariful Islam then claimed 4-22 while left-arm spinner Naimur Rohman Noyon picked up 2-34 as the junior Tigers bowled the hosts all out for 192 runs in 45.3 overs to complete a comprehensive victory.

Kaushal S Tambe scored the highest 42 runs for India U-19 B team.

With this victory, Bangladesh U-19 team brightened their chance of qualifying in the final as they are currently leading the points table with eight points from two games.

They earlier defeated India U-19 A team by two wickets in their opening match of the series on Monday.

The junior Tigers will face the same opposition in their third match at the same venue today.
