Bowling partnership is our mantra for success: Shaheen Afridi

Bowling partnership seems to be the mantra followed by Pakistani pace bowlers in the ongoing two-match series opener against Bangladesh.

While Hasan Ali was the wrecker in chief during the first innings, left-arm pace bowler Shaheen Afridi took the center stage in the second innings to put the host on the back foot, claiming a fifer.

Unlike the wicket in Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium in Dhaka, Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium’s wicket is comparatively better for the batsmen.

Despite the fact, Afridi and Hasan had enough tricks under their sleeves to disrupt the progress of Bangladesh’s batting line-up.

“Look I always enjoy my bowling no matter if it’s T20, ODI or Test,” Shaheen said.

“Yes, every bowler wants to fifer in Test. Sometimes you get it, sometimes you don’t. But I always try to hit the right areas,” he said.

The left-arm pace bowler added that he is enjoying the bowling partnership with Hasan Ali.

“I just tried to give my hundred percent and the only aim was to get them as early as possible,” he said.

“It’s always good to bowl in partnership and I am enjoying bowling with Hasan Ali. We kept pushing ourselves here in Chattogram and we are happy with the outcomes,” he concluded.
