Bangladesh all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan is leaving no stone unturned to make him available for the series concluding second Test against Pakistan, scheduled from December 4.

Shakib, who is unavailable since Bangladesh’s fourth Super 12 match of the ICC T20 World Cup due to his hamstring injury, began his preparation at his own MASCO - Shakib Cricket Academy on Friday.

The left-handed batsman had a knocking session at the nets and didn’t face any discomfort at all while doing it. “It’s too early to say whether he will be available or not but he is trying to make him available,” said a source close to the development.

“With passing days, the intensity of his practice will increase unless he’s not feeling okay,” he added. Shakib earlier sustained a grade 1 hamstring injury that forced him to leave the World Cup midway in UAE.
