Mostofa Sarwar Farooki's directorial venture ‘No Land’s Man’ will be screened at Cairo International Film Festival today.    

‘No Land’s Man’ will have its MENA premiere at the festival as a special presentation.

Farooki shared the news on his Facebook. 

Oscar and Grammy winning composer AR Rahman, Australian actor Megan Mitchell and Nawazuddin Siddiqui will attend the screening shoow.

The Cairo International Film Festival is the oldest and the only ‘category A’ film event in the Middle East, and will screen 98 films from 63 countries.

The festival started on Friday and will continue till December 5. 

No Land’s Man is a drama film directed and written by internationally acclaimed Bangladeshi film maker Mostofa Sarwar Farooki. The film set on a journey of a South Asian man which becomes complicated when he meets an Australian woman in America. The plot of the film deals with the fascism and the identity crisis.

Indian actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui is playing the lead role. The film also features Australian actress Megan Mitchell Bangladeshi singer and actor Tahsan Khan, among others.

 The film, a joint production of United States, India and Bangladesh produced by Mostofa Sarwar Farooki, Marina Fernandez Ferri, A R Rahman, Shrihari Sathe, Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Nusrat Imrose Tisha. AR Rahman also joins the film as a music composer.

Previously it was selected for PÖFF-Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival under the ‘Current Waves’ section.

The film shot in the US, Australia and India, is predominantly in English with some dialogue in Hindi and Urdu.
