Agriculturist Badiuzzaman Badshah, also former vice-president of Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL)’s central executive committee, passed away in a city hospital early on Monday. He was 63.

He left behind his wife, two sons, a daughter and a host of relatives and well-wishers to mourn his death.

Prime Minister and Awami League President Sheikh Hasina expressed deep shock at the death of Badiuzzaman Badshah.

Badshah’s first namaz-e-janaza was held at his residence in the city’s Mohammadpur area at around 7:30am. Later, his body was taken to KIB where his second namaz-e-janaza was held at 9:30am.

The third and fourth namaz-e-janazas were held at BAU in Mymensingh and on Taraganj High School premises of his own village home in Sherpur’s Nalitabari respectively.  He was laid to eternal rest there after Maghrib prayers.
