Teen arrested for reckless driving

Police have arrested a teenage boy who injured a man and his six-month-old child by ploughing into the back of a rickshaw carrying the two on Bailey Road in the capital.

A team of police nabbed the teen named Taskin Ahmed Shafi, who is a student studying at an educational institution in the capital city, from Chuadanga on Sunday, said Biplob Kumar Sarkar, deputy commissioner (DC) of Tejgaon Crime Division under DMP.

On Friday afternoon, Fakhrul Hasan with his baby was travelling on the rickshaw.

Suddenly, the private car drove into the back of the rickshaw, leaving one hand of Fakhrul and one leg of the infant broken.

Scrutinizing the CCTV footage of the neighbourhood, police found that the teen was driving dangerously, said the officer, adding that the car was seized.
