Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) recorded six more deaths and 151 cases in the last 24 hours till Saturday morning.
Some 13,569 samples were tested at 834 labs across the country, yielding a positivity rate of 1.11 percent.
According to DGHS, three patients died in Dhaka. Chittagong, Rajshahi, and Khulna divisions reported one death each.
Of the new patients, Dhaka logged 105 cases, the highest among the divisions. No new cases were reported in 45 districts of the country.
The country’s overall mortality rate from the virus until Saturday morning remained static at 1.78 percent and overall recovery rate at 97.71 percent while the overall positivity rate declined to 14.87 percent.
Bangladesh reported its first three cases of Covid-19 on March 8, 2020 and the first death was reported 10 days later.
The country, however, has been witnessing infection rates within two percent for the past few weeks.
