Uber will provide 50,000 free rides worth Tk 1 crore for citizens travelling to and from vaccination centres across the Dhaka on Wednesday.

The initiative is a part of Uber’s global commitment to provide 10 million free or discounted rides to ensure efficient and equitable access to vaccines, said a press release.

In addition to supporting the ongoing vaccination drive, these free rides will further boost earning opportunities for drivers on Uber’s platform during these challenging times.

Uber's mission is to create opportunity through movement. We started in 2010 to solve a simple problem: how do you get access to a ride at the touch of a button? More than 15 billion trips later, we're building products to get people closer to where they want to be. By changing how people, food, and things move through cities, Uber is a platform that opens up the world to new possibilities.
