The country’s leading coach Mohammad Salahuddin said on Monday that he will be more comfortable working in the High Performance Unit than in the national team.
The Bangladesh Cricket Board recently proposed to Salahuddin to work as their national team’s assistant coach during the upcoming home series against Pakistan. However, Salahuddin informed the board that he’s keen to work in the HP Unit and doesn’t have any desire to work with the national team at the moment. Salahuddin is currently employed at MASCO Shakib Cricket Academy as well as at Prime Bank Cricket Club.
“I’m thankful to them that they offered me to work with the Bangladesh team. Now it’s up to the BCB what they will decide. I had spoken with them and let them know about my current situation.
“Obviously everyone has a desire to work with the Bangladesh team but I personally want to work in the development sector. I feel comfortable with the young players and I enjoy my work in the players’ development,” he added.
