The country’s dengue situation has remained ‘stable’ for the last few weeks while 725 patients were hospitalised in only five days of the current month.

According to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), 103 more dengue patients were hospitalized while no death was reported in the last 24 hours till Friday morning.

The DGHS said 725 dengue patients were hospitalized in only 5 days of November, 5,458 in October, 7,841 in September, 7,698 in August, 2,286 in July, 272 in June, 43 in May, three in April, 13 in March, nine in February and 32 in January this year.

The DGHS said 89 new patients were hospitalised in the capital and 14 patients were outside the city in the last 24 hours till 8am on Friday.
