Bangladesh envoy presents credentials to Tajik president

Bangladesh Ambassador to Uzbekistan Md Zahangir Alam presented credentials to the President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon in a ceremony at the Palace of the Nation in Dushanbe.

Alam is also concurrent Ambassador to Tajikistan.

Zahangir Alam was one of the ten ambassadors who also presented their credentials to the Tajikistan President on Wednesday.

In the conversation, President Emomali Rahmon wished Ambassador Zahangir Alam all the success during his diplomatic mission and conveyed his personal greetings to the President and Prime Minister of Bangladesh and sought the assistance of Bangladesh Ambassador in expanding bilateral relations between the two countries.

Bangladesh Ambassador conveyed the sincere greetings and best wishes from the President and Prime Minister of Bangladesh and their invitation to visit Bangladesh.

Md Zahangir Alam proposed to cooperate in the potential fields like garments and pharmaceutical sectors and set up joint ventures in Tajikistan as well as in Bangladesh.

Foreign Minister of the Republic of Tajikistan Sirojiddin Muhriddin was present from Tajik side while spouse of Ambassador Mst Ummul Fatema and Minister and HOC Nripendra Chandra Debnath were present from Bangladesh side.
