Bangladesh Premier League champions Bashundhara Kings will start their pre-season camp after more than a month-long break at its premises tomorrow.

The local players, except the national team and U-23 members, are expected to report to the club on Sunday. The players will undergo Covid-19 tests today.

The national team and U-23 players will join the camp after completing their international assignments. Finnish-born Bangladeshi player Tariq Raihan Kazi, who is currently in Finland, will join next week. Head coach Oscar Bruzon will join in the mid of this month; local coaches will continue the camp until then, club’s head of strategy and planning Bayazid Alam Zubair Nipu confirmed to The Daily Sun on Sunday.

Foreign players Robson Azevedo da Silva Robinho, Jonathan da Silveira Fernandes Reis and Khaled Shafiei will arrive in Dhaka this week.

However, the club added some big names into their squad to form a strong team eyeing the upcoming domestic leagues and AFC Cup.  National midfielder Sohel Rana, forward Sumon Reza and defender Yeasin Arafat will play for the Kings this year. Apart from them, the club are going to give another surprise in the foreign recruitments.

A new Latin forward will come in the place of Argentine forward Raul Becerra who had already ended the contract with the club. However, the club are yet to disclose the name of the newcomer.
