Indian Army gifts 15 trained horses to Bangladesh

BENAPOLE: The Indian Army has gifted 15 trained horses to the Bangladesh Army.

Indian Army officials handed over the horses to the Bangladesh Army on no-man’s-land through Benapole land port on Wednesday.

Colonel Mazhar Al Kabir Khokon of Jashore Cantonment was present on behalf of Bangladesh Army and Brigadier General Monmith Singh Sabharwal of the Kolkata Army was present on behalf of India during the handover ceremony.

Officers of Bangladesh and Indian Army were also present on the occasion.

Lt Colonel Selim Reza, commanding officer of BGB Battalion-49, said the horses will be taken to Savar in Dhaka by army truck.
