A Dhaka court on Tuesday deferred its verdict against former lawmaker and student leader Golam Faruq Ovi in a case filed over murder of model Syeda Tania Mahbub Tinni in 2002.

The court was scheduled to deliver the verdict on Tuesday, but Judge Keshob Roy Chowdhury of Dhaka Additional District and Sessions Judge-7 deferred the date to November 15 accepting a petition of prosecution.

On November 10, 2002, Tinni’s body was found under China-Bangladesh Friendship Bridge over the Buriganga River.
