BENAPOLE: Three youths were seriously injured in a Bomb blast at the Putkhali Border village in Benapole on Saturday night.

Relatives of the injured rescued them and admitted to Jashore General Hospital.

The injured are Sohael Rana, 35, son of Abdur Rahman, Rashedul Islam, 40, son of Ziaur Rahman and Ashikur Rahman, 42, son of Abdur Razzak of Benapole Port police station.

Among the injured, the right wrist of Rashed was severed from his body. The condition of Sohael and Ashikur is also serious injured.

Meanwhile, the injured said that the three friends were standing in Putkhali Madhyapara village around 10:30 pm. At that time, an unknown person bombed them. At that time Rashed’s left hand flew.

Meanwhile, another source said that they were making bombs to influence the area ahead of the upcoming UP elections.

The hospital’s emergency department doctor Salauddin Swapan said, Rashed’s condition is critical among those injured in the bombing.

Benapole Port Police officer-in-charge (OC) Mamun Khan said, police have been sent to the spot after receiving the news of the bomb explosion. Police is investigation the incident. No case was filed in this connection.
