Call for easy access to Islamic financing

Bangladesh Ambassador to Uzbekistan Md Zahangir Alam laid emphasis on removing barriers to Islamic finance and utilizing the opportunities.

He said this financing system should be made easy and accessible to the poor and common people.

The envoy made the remarks while speaking at the 2nd CIS Islamic Banking and Finance Forum on Thursday.

Al-Huda Centre of Islamic Banking and Economics, UAE organised the event at Hyatt Regency in Tashkent, Uzbekistan.

The Forum aimed to explore and discuss innovative financial inclusion strategies that can create clear pathways to financial and economic solutions.

Ambassador MdZahangirAlam said, “Islamic finance is not only developing its roots in Muslim countries but also in many non-Muslim countries, and they are benefitting from it.”

Later, the ambassador distributed Certificates of Appreciation to the speakers.

More than 20 countries participated in the prestigious event, including Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Azerbaijan, Malaysia, South Africa, Pakistan, Uzbekistan and Middle Eastern countries.
