The daily coronavirus infection rate has remained below 4 per cent in the country for 20 consecutive days with the deaths from the deadly pandemic declined to a single digit in the last 24 hours till Tuesday.
The Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) said the country has reported seven more deaths and 469 infections from coronavirus during the period.
During the second wave of the coronavirus infection, the highest of 264 deaths was recorded in the country on August 5 and August 10 while the highest of 16,230 cases were reported on July 28.
The number of total infections has risen to 15,66,296 with the overall positivity rate 15.45 percent.
Besides, the national death toll has increased to 27,785 with a case fatality rate of 1.77 per cent.
Some 697 more Covid-19 patients have recovered in the last 24 hours till Tuesday morning, raising the total number of recoveries to 15,29,068.
Of the 7 fresh deaths, 3 were reported in Dhaka division while 2 in Chattogram, one each in Khulna and Rangpur.
A total of 21,308 samples, out of 21,308 collected, were tested at 832 labs in the country during the period. With this, 101,35,042 samples have so far been tested across the country.
