RU to run 6-day corona vaccination campaign

RAJSHAHI: The authorities of Rajshahi University (RU) will run a six-day corona vaccination campaign on the campus on October 17 to October 22 to gallop vaccination of its residential and non-residential students including employees.

The authorities will set a vaccination booth in this regard at Shaheed Sukharanjan Somaddar Teacher-Student Cultural Centre (TSCC) on the campus on October 17 said the university’s public relation office Professor M Ajijur Rahman.

Since as per an official decision unvaccinated students will be barred entering the residential halls and classrooms. He also added that unvaccinated staff members must get at least one dose by this time too as some of the employees were yet to get any of the vaccine.

On September 30 the Rajshahi University authorities decided to reopen the residential halls for the students on October 17 and to resume in-person classes on October 20 after a year-and-a-half closure. About 8,000 students out of 25 thousands are fully vaccinated about 4,000 others got their first dose while the rest are yet any dose.
