Bangladesh condemns Houthi attack on Saudi airport

Bangladesh has strongly condemned the recent Houthi bomb attack on King Abdullah Airport in Jazan of Saudi Arabia, which has wounded civilians, including several Bangladeshis working at the airport.

The bomb attack was carried out through a drone on October 8. Such the attacks are a flagrant violation of international humanitarian law, moral values and completely unacceptable, said a statement of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Dhaka on Tuesday.

Bangladesh has expressed its grave concern over the growing number of Houthi militia attacks on Saudi Arabia which undermine the ongoing peace initiatives.

While urging a peaceful resolution to Yemen conflict, Bangladesh expressed its solidarity with the government of Saudi Arabia and its brotherly people in condemning such irresponsible activities.

Bangladesh Embassy in Riyadh has been asked to provide necessary support for Bangladeshi citizens injured in the latest Houthi attack.
