Three-time National Film Awards-winning actress Prarthana Fardin Dighi starrer new movie ‘Sraban Jostnai’ will go on floor on October 15. The first lot shooting of the govt-granted film will be held at Mirpur DOHS area in the capital.
Eminent writer and director of East West Media Group Limited (EWMGL) Imdadul Haq Milan has written the story of the film and Jhinuk Mala-famed director Abdus Samad Khokon is directing the movie.
About the film, Dighi said, “For the first time, I’m acting under the direction of respected Abdus Samad Khokon uncle. My role in the movie is to my liking. As a result, I’m eagerly waiting for the film’s shooting. The story of the film is also very nice. If all the artistes of the film will work properly, then it will be a good movie.”
Abdus Samad Khokon and Imdadul Haq Milan have jointly written the dialogue, while Khokon himself written the script of the movie.
Prarthana Fardin Dighi, popularly known as Dighi is a film actress and model of the country. She won Bangladesh National Film Award for Best Child Artiste three times for the films ‘Kabuliwala’ in 2006, ‘Ek Takar Bou’ in 2008 and ‘Chachchu Amar Chachchu’ in 2010.
Dighi’s first film as a lead actress is ‘Tumi Aso Tumi Nai’ directed by Delwar Jahan Jhuntu. The movie was released in theatre in March 2021. Her movie ‘Tungipara'r Miya Bhai’ also released on the occasion of National Mourning Day in 2021.
Dighi is also acting in ‘Bangabandhu’, an upcoming biographical film directed by Shyam Benegal. She will be seen as younger Renu (Sheikh Fazilatunnesa Mujib) in the movie.
