Shamsul Alamin elected new REHAB president

Shamsul Alamin Real Estate Limited Managing Director Alamgir Shamsul Alamin (Kajol) has been elected president of Real Estate and Housing Association of Bangladesh (REHAB) on Tuesday.

Hamid Real Estate and Construction Limited Managing Director Istekhabur Hamid was elected senior vice-president of the association, said a press release.

Due to the absence of the eligible candidates in this election, candidates who submitted their nomination papers, were declared elected, uncontested. The election was held on Tuesday.

Additionally, three members of the Chattogram region have also been elected. This committee will be responsible for the next two years (2021-2023).

Seven people were elected as office bearers from the 26 elected directors of Dhaka and three elected directors of Chattogram region.

Kamal Mahmud, Nazrul Islam (Dulal), Lion Sharif Ali Khan and Md Abdul Kauiam Chowdhury have been elected as vice presidents of the association. Engineer Mohammad Shohel Rana has been elected as vice president of finance.

Newly-elected directors of the association include Naimul Hassan, Md Ramjanul Haque Nihad, Mahir Ali Khan Ratul, Engineer Md Al Amin, Shahid Reza, Engineer M Ruhul Amin,  Saiyud Md Jonayed Anwar, Masud Monuwer, Engineer Md Abul Khayer Selim, Dr Engineer Masuda Siddik Ruji, Engineer Md Didarul Haque Chawdhury, Engineer Ratan Kumar Datta, Dr AFM Kamal Uddin, Md Kamrul Islam, Md Kamrul Islam, Hamim Ahmed Chawdhury Tuhin, Selim Raja Pintu, SM Amdad Hossain, Sultan Mahmud, Mahbub Sobhan Jalal (Tanvir), Md Ragib Ahsan and Engineer NM Nur Kutubul Alam.

REHAB’s 2021-2023 election schedule was announced on August 21 of this year. As per the schedule, the final result was announced on Tuesday.
