Security forces at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport recovered 1,878 Yaba pills from a Saudi-bound passenger on Saturday.

Aviation Security (AVSEC) member Ekhlasur Rahman seized the Yaba while searching the bag of Sohel Rana, a passenger of Jazeera Airways, said Group Captain AHM Touhid-ul Ahsan, Executive Director, Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport.

The executive director of the airport said the passenger was scheduled to fly to Saudi Arabia via Kuwait.

Later, Sohel Rana was handed over to Department of Narcotics Control. During preliminary interrogation, Sohel Rana said that the mother of another Bangladeshi expatriate in the KSA from his village named Hridoy gave him the bag to give it to her son.
