Bangladesh will face Oman A team in a practice match at Al Amerat Cricket Stadium in Muskat today.

The match is scheduled to start at 08:00pm Bangladesh Standard Time and will be telecast live on T Sports.

The Tigers completed a match scenario practice session at Oman Cricket Academy on Thursday ahead of the match.

“After many days, we had a match scenario practice at the centre wicket. I also did well with my bowling,” left-arm spinner Nasum Ahmed, who was nominated for the ICC monthly award recently, said.

“My main focus is to have seven to eight dot balls in a match. I’m not thinking too much apart from that I will try to apply it on the batsmen to ensure the dot balls,” he added.

Meanwhile, Bangladesh, which were previously scheduled to fly to the UAE on Saturday, might have to stay a day more in Muskat, revealed selector Habibul Bashar.

“We were scheduled to go to Dubai on the ninth. We have two practise matches there (Abu Dhabi). But there is an uncertainty of going there on that day. We may go there in the next day,” he said.

The Tigers are scheduled to take part in two warm-up matches against Sri Lanka and Ireland on October 12 and 14 respectively in Abu Dhabi before they fly back to Oman on October 15 to feature in the qualifying event of the tournament.

Bangladesh will take on Scotland in their first qualifying match on October 17 before they take on Oman and PNG respectively on October 19 and 21.
