Dengue Outbreak

208 patients hospitalised in 24 hours

A total of 208 more dengue patients were hospitalised throughout the country in the last 24 hours until 8:00 am on Thursday.

No death, however, was reported on the day, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

On the other hand, a total of 1347 dengue patients were hospitalised in the last 7 days while 7,841 dengue patients were hospitalised in September, 7,698 in August, 2,286 in July, 272 in June, 43 in May, 3 in April, 13 in March, 9 in February and 32 in January this year.

A total of 12 dengue patients died across the country in July, 34 in August, 23 in September and 4 deaths have so far been reported this month.

The DGHS said 173 new patients were hospitalised in the capital and 35 patients were from outside the city.
