The authorities of Dhaka University (DU) on Thursday decided to resume in-person classes from October 17.
The decision was taken at an emergency meeting of the university's Academic Council with the Vice-chancellor Prof Dr Md Akhtaruzzaman in the chair.
However, if it is not possible to take in-person classes in any department or if they face any problem, they will take classes online.

Earlier on October 5, the residential halls of the university were reopened for honours fourth year and master's students.
The students of other years will be allowed in the halls from October 10.
