BSA to produce 30 compositions suitable for dance performance

Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy (BSA) to produce thirty original compositions suitable for dance performance with thirty prominent music directors of the country. BSA has signed an agreement with the music directors in this regard recently. The musicians will get Tk45 lakh for making the compositions under this agreement.

In this regard BSA music, dance and recitation department arranged a meeting at the office of Kazi Aftab Uddin, director of the department, on Monday.

Speaking about the project, Director General of BSA Liaquat Ali Lucky said, “We are taking this initiative to make original composition for dance (instrumental) for the first time in Bangladesh. Noted music directors of the country will make the compositions in three categories--classical, modern and folk. Hopefully, this project will be a great achievement for dance production.”

Prominent musicians of the country including, Sheikh Sadi Khan, Manam Ahmed, Ibrar Tipu, Maksud Jamil Mintu, Ibne Razan, Seikh Jashim, Swani Zubayeer, Binod Roy, were, among other present at the meeting.
