Bashundhara LPG rolls out service camps across country

Bashundhara LPG rolled out service camps sending teams of experts across the country.

Some 8,000 customers registered since the formal launching of the campaign for free cylinder safety services last month, officials said at a briefing on Wednesday at Bashundhara Industrial Headquarters-2 in Dhaka.

Bashundhara Group sector-A chief operating officer MM Jasim Uddin inaugurated the field activities of the campaign.

Bashundhara LPG head of HR Saad Tanvir, head of Sales Jakaria Jalal, Supply Chain general manager Sarowar Hossain Sohag and secretary to Vice-Chairman Mushfiqur Rahman were present on the occasion.

Officials said the service teams would serve 13,000 households in the first phase.

The teams will visit the registered customers’ home by maintaining COVID-19 health guidelines.

They will check kitchens, accessories of cylinders, stoves and provide necessary suggestions.

Bashundhara LPG authorities have been focusing on raising mass awareness and knowledge sharing on safe use of gas cylinders. In the service camps, the expert teams will check the system and share knowledge on the use of connected pipes, regulators and burners. The campaign started in April 2019 as a pilot project in Narayanganj. The initiative was stopped due to the coronavirus pandemic. But Bashundhara LPG resumed this popular campaign after requests from the customers this year.

Recently, Bashundhara LPG won “best company” award from the United Kingdom-based economy journal “Business Tabloid” for its contribution in alternative energy helping the country achieve sustainable development goals.
