Mamata for stronger bonding with Bangladesh

West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has thanked Bangladesh Foreign Minister Dr AK Abdul Momen for congratulating her on her victory in the state assembly by-polls.

In reply to Momen’s congratulatory letter, Mamata Banerjee, with heartfelt gratitude, expressed the hope that the love and affection between the people of Bangladesh and West Bengal will further be strengthened in the days to come.

She also said the people of West Bengal again voted for development, peace, harmony, unity and solidarity and to strengthen the spirit of those core issues.

Mamata Banerjee, chief of the Trinamool Congress, won a landslide victory from home turf Bhowanipore by over 58,000 votes on Sunday last.

She was sworn in as West Bengal chief minister for the third consecutive term after she spearheaded her party to a remarkable victory in the West Bengal assembly polls.

Foreign Minister Momen had also congratulated Mamata Banerjee on her party’s historic win in the West Bengal assembly election.
