Salma lends voice to ‘Shorto’

Closeup 1-famed popular singer Salma Akhter has lent her voice to a new song titled ‘Shorto’. Enamul Kabir Sumon has written the lyrics of the track while Murad Noor composed it.

Under the banner of Rupkotha Music, the recording of the song has been held at Long Play studio in the capital.  

Mushfiq Litu has arranged the music of the song. About the song, Salma said, “It is my first work with both Sujon and Murad bhai. The lyrics and tune of the song are amazing. I’m very happy with the song.”

Murad Noor said, “Salma is a popular folk singer of the country. She has lent her voice to the song wonderfully. I hope the audience will enjoy the song very much.”

The song Shorto will be released on digital platforms soon with music video.

 Moushumi Akhter Salma known as Salma Akhter is a popular folk singer of the country. She got the lesson of classical music along with folk from her Guruji. She rose to fame in 2006 after winning the second season of ‘Closeup 1 Tomakei Khujchhey Bangladesh’, a musical show broadcast on NTV. 

Her first single ‘Baniya Bondhu’ struck the market along with another song ‘Chailam Jarey’ while she was in the competition.

Salma is specially considered for singing Lalon geeti along with all other Bengali folk songs. She also performs semi –classical and modern Bengali songs.
