The government on Tuesday cleared nine projects involving a total of Tk 65.51 billion, including one to improve a regional highway in Tangail at an estimated cost of Tk 14.36 billion.

The approval came at the meeting of The Executive Committee of the National Economic Council (ECNEC) held virtually with Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina in the chair.

The main physical work of the tunnel is nearing completion as the project didn't see any revision. On the other hand, the project may save some funds, he noted.
