The Bangladesh Swimming Federation will be back in action with Bangabandhu 34th age-level swimming and diving competition after more than five-month’s inactivity due to Covid-19 and lockdown across the country.

The three-day competition will get underway at the Syed Nazrul Islam National Swimming Complex in Mirpur. A total of 300 swimmers from divisions, districts, BKSP, Police and Ansar including 110 officials from 90 teams will take part in the tournament.

The boys and girls participants, split into five groups -- U10, U11/12, U13/14, U15/17, U18/20 and youth -- will take part in 103 events -- 100 events in swimming and 3 events in diving.  The BSF General Secretary MB Saif informed that the final number of the participants will be confirmed after the participants’ medical test.

“We will provide accommodation and meals for the participating teams at the swimming complex dormitory,” MB Saif disclosed the details of the meet in a press conference at BOA auditorium on Saturday.
