The government would bear Tk 1,600 for each RT-PCR test for the aspirant migrants, Ministry of Expatriates' Welfare and Overseas Employment Minister Imran Ahmad has said on Saturday.
The minister came up with the remark while virtually exchanging views with the Bangladeshi expatriates living in the United Arab Emirates.
Imran Ahmad said the government has been working to ensure the welfare of the expatriates.
“Expatriates send remittances to the country through hard work and their contribution to the country’s economy is very significant. The government will bear the expenses of Tk 1600 for each RT-PCR test as part of its commitment to the expatriates,” he said.
