The Climate and Ocean Risk Vulnerability Index (CORVI) validation workshop on ‘Assessing Risks in Chattogram City using CORVI’ was held at the conference Hall of Chattogram City Corporation (CCC) on Thursday.

The programme was jointly organized by The Ocean Policy Research Institute (OPRI) and The Sasakawa Peace Foundation (SPF) in Japan, The Centre for Bay of Bengal Studies (CBOBS) and Department of Economics of Independent University, Bangladesh (IUB) in association with Chattogram City Corporation (CCC).

CCC Mayor Rezaul Karim Chowdhury was present as the chief guest while Dr Atsushi Sunami, president of SPF, and Dr Hide Sakaguchi, president of OPRI, were present as the guests of honour.

The opening and closing remarks were given by Prof Dr Niaz Ahmed Khan, pro-vice-chancellor of IUB, said a press release.
