Tamim’s batting misery continues

Bangladesh opener Tamim Iqbal continued his poor run of form in the ongoing Everest Premier League in Nepal as he could score only 14 off 16 balls for his side Bhairahawa Gladiators against Lalitpur Patriots on Thursday.

Chasing a target of 178 runs, Tamim failed once again to give his side a good start but Sri Lankan batsman Upul Tharanga made an unbeaten 67 off 44 balls while skipper Sharad Vesawkar hit a six in the last ball to finish the match in a tie.

The match didn’t see a super-over due to bad light as both teams shared a point each.

Tamim earlier made just 12 off 13 balls in his first batting appearance in the EPL against Biratnagar Warriors on Wednesday.
