Art show on Sheikh Hasina begins at Shilpakala

A month-long art exhibition titled ‘Sheikh Hasina: Bishwajoyi Nondito Neta’ began at Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy (BSA) in the capital on Tuesday.

The Cultural Affairs Ministry and Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy have jointly organised the exhibition, marking the 75th birthday of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.

BSA Director General Liaquat Ali Lucky inaugurated the exhibition as the chief guest at the National Art Gallery of BSA at 05:00pm.  

Art works of 75 women artists, including, Farida Zaman, Naima Haque, Rokeya Sultana, Kanak Chanpa Chakma, Ive Zaman, Farzana Ahmed Shanta, Shima Islam, Joya Sharmin Haque and Syeda Mahbuba Karim are being exhibited at the exhibition. 

The exhibition will remain open for all at Gallery 1 of National Art Gallery from 11:00am to 08:00pm everyday till October 27.

Sheikh Hasina, the eldest daughter of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, was born at Tungipara in Gopalganj on September 28 in 1947.
