The Faculty of Business Studies of Dhaka University (DU) has organised a two-day long international conference titled ‘5th International Conference on Business and Economics’ at Dhaka University (DU) on Saturday.
The theme of the conference is ‘Business and Economy in the New-normal Landscape’ this year.
He said that COVID-19 pandemic poses a great threat to many countries and nations to achieve the SDGs by 2030.
Bangladesh under the dynamic leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is doing much better than other countries towards the tremendous progress and success in achieving SDGs and socio-economic conditions, he added.

Chancellor (Academic) Prof Dr ASM Maksud Kamal, Treasurer Prof Mamtaz Uddin Ahmed and Chairman of Bangladesh Securities and Exchange Commission Prof Shibli Rubayat-Ul-Islam addressed the inaugural session as special guests.
Pro-Vice Chancellor of Swinburne University of Technology, Australia Professor Bernadine Van Gramberg delivered the keynote speech on ‘Balancing Health and the Economy during COVID-19’.
