BSCIC, Oikya Foundation to set up sales centres in 493 Upazilas

Bangladesh Small and Cottage Industrial Corporation (BSCIC) has on Thursday signed an agreement with Oikya Foundation to set up digital display and sales centre in 493 Upazilas for marketing the products of CMSMEs.  

In a bid to encourage cottage, micro, small and medium entrepreneurs (CMSMEs) sector across the country, the digital display and sales centre will play a vital role. 

As per the agreement, the entrepreneurs of this sector can easily supply their product to their nearby sales centre, a press release said.

Industries Minister Nurul Majid Mahmud Humayun virtually attended the signing ceremony as the chief guest.

Oikya Foundation President Shaheen Akhter Rainy also joined the function virtually while BSCIC Chairman Md Mostaque Hassan NDC presided over the function.

BSCIC Secretary Md Mofidul Islam and Oikya Foundation Chief Executive Apu Mahfuj signed the agreement on behalf of their respective organisations.

BSCIC recently also launched an online platform (www.bscic-emarket.gov.bd) to sell and promote the products of CMSMEs sector.
