Int’l confce on big data, IOT kicks off at CUET

CHATTOGRAM: A three-day international conference on ‘Big Data, Internet of Things and Machine Learning; BIM-2021’ kicked off at Chittagong University of Engineering and Technology (CUET) on Thursday.

The online conference aimed at ensuring sustainable development and tackling the challenges of the fourth industrial revolution.

The IEEE Computer Society - Bangladesh Chapter, CUET Intelligent Computing Lab and Centre for Natural Science and Engineering Research provided technical assistances for the conference. 

Hundreds of teachers, researchers, scientists, entrepreneurs, students and professionals from 17 countries including USA, Australia, Japan, Canada, Germany, UK, Italy, South Korea, New Zealand, KSA, India, Pakistan, Malaysia and Austria are taking part in the conference.

A total of 10 keynote speeches, six invited talks, three tutorials and 140 articles will be presented at 28 technical sessions of the three-day conference.

The conference Organising Chair and CUET Computer Science and Engineering department Professor Dr Md Samsul Arefin presided over the inaugural ceremony while BRAC University Computer Science and Engineering department Professor Dr Mohammad Kaykobad, Texas University, USA Professor John HL Hansen, IEEE Computer Society - Bangladesh Chapter Chair Professor Dr Md Abdur Razzaq were present as guests.
