Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) has finished holding a series of meetings with the party’s central leaders in the second phase to decide its political strategy ahead of the next general election.
The meeting was held at the BNP chairperson’s Gulshan office in the capital on Thursday. BNP acting chairman Tarique Rahman connected with the meeting from London.
BNP secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir and party standing committee members Khandaker Mosharraf Hossain, Gayeshwar Chandra Roy, Selima Rahman and Iqbal Hassan Mahmud Tuku were also present in the meeting.
Earlier, Tarique Rahman held a three-day long series meeting started on September 14, with vice-chairmen, chairperson’s advisers, joint secretary generals and secretaries and top leaders of the party’s front and associate bodies.
Sources said the party standing committee meeting which will be held on Saturday, will analyse the minutes of the meetings and will decide the party’s political strategy and next course of action ahead of the next parliament election.
