Prosenjit, Jeet to share screen in Souvik directorial!

Tollywood actor Prosenjit Chatterjee is set to shoot for his next, a Souvik Kundu film with the working title, Ai Khuku Ai, from November, reports Times of India. It is heard that he’ll be sharing screen space with Jeet, who is reportedly doing a cameo in the film.

“I can’t comment on this. But I’ll be very happy if Jeet agrees to do the cameo. We share a beautiful bond off screen and I’m sure it’ll be visible on screen if we work together,” Prosenjit said. Speaking to ToI about the film, the actor said it’s the story of a father-daughter relationship. “The script is beautiful and everyone will be able to relate to it. My character has a striking double role and is something that I haven’t played before.”

About director Souvik, the actor said, “Long back, in 2015, Souvik had directed Kader Kuler Bou, where Anirban Bhattacharya and Koneenica Banerjee played the lead. From that time, I could figure out that he is a talented and sorted director. Both of us wanted to work with each other but were not getting the right script. This time, when he narrated the script during the pandemic, I liked it and gave my nod.”

A source in the unit revealed that talks are on with Indraadip Das Gupta to compose the music for the film, which will have Indranil Mukherjee as the cinematographer.
