Bashundhara Kings earned a tough 1-0 win over Sheikh Russel Krira Chakra in their 23rd match of the ongoing Bangladesh Premier League match at the Bangabandhu National Stadium in the capital on Friday.

After the barren first-half, Brazilian forward Robson Azevedo Da Silva Robson struck the match-winner converting a spot-kick correctly in the 79th minute of the game. The goal extended his tally to 21st in the scorers' list of the ongoing league.

The day’s result wouldn't make any impact on the points table as the Kings have already confirmed the BPL title. They earned a total of 64 points from 23 matches.

On the other hand, Sheikh Russel remained in seventh spot despite conceding the defeat. They earned 36 points from 24 matches.

“We are at the end of the season. Our players had a very long season; they were very busy with their domestic and international assignments. But there are no complaints,” Kings' coach Oscar Bruzon said after the day’s match.

Kings will play their last match of the league against Abahani Ltd Dhaka on Monday at the same venue at 4:00pm.
