A police constable died mysteriously at Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) headquarters in the capital on Monday.
The constable named Shuvo Mollo, 26, sustained gunshot wounds while he was on duty at the main gate of the elite force’s headquarters at about 2:30 pm.
He was whisked off to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) where doctors declared him dead at about 5:15 pm. The body was kept at the hospital’s morgue for autopsy.
When contacted, ANM Imran Khan, assistant director (legal and media wing) of the RAB, told the Daily Sun that they are carrying out an investigation to find the cause of his death.
