Bangladesh U-19s registered their 2nd consecutive victory in the five-match youth ODI series against their Afghanistan counterparts by 3 wickets at the Sylhet International Cricket Stadium on Sunday.
Junior Tigers won the first match of the series by 16 runs on Friday; they were bolstered by an excellent bowling display after being asked to field first by the visitors.
However, the chase proved to be a very difficult one for the hosts, who went from 37 for no lose to 95 for seven before closing out the match in 23.1 overs with three wickets in hand. Openers Mofijul Islam (31) and Prantik Nawrose Nabil (24) were the top scorers.
Leg-spinner Izharullah Naveed took four wickets while left-arm spinner Shahidullah Hasani took three wickets for the Afghan side.
