Three Afghanistan Under-19 cricketers were tested positive for Covid-19 and they were immediately taken into isolation in their team hotel in Sylhet, a Bangladesh Cricket Official informed on Monday.

The visiting team underwent their first Covid-19 test on the same day after they arrived in Bangladesh in separate flights a day before to play five youth one-day internationals and a four-day game against Bangladesh U-19 team.

The whole team is expected to undergo another Covid-19 test today and if those three players come out Covid-19 negative along with other members of the team, they will be set free to join the team.

The first youth ODI will take place on September 10 at the Sylhet International Cricket Stadium while the remaining four youth ODIs will take place on September 12, 14, 17 and 19 respectively.

The four-day game is slated from September 22-25.
