Living by
Plucking

A farmer with a happy smile on his face holds bunches of water lily after plucking those from a pond at Sagorika in Chattogram. He usually picks around 50 ‘mothas’ of the favourite vegetable, with one ‘motha’ equivalent to seven to eight stems and sells for up to Tk 2 a ‘motha’ at a local market. The snap was taken on Friday.     —Rabin Chowdhury
