Tigers, Kiwis to start practice today

Both Bangladesh and New Zealand teams will start their practice from today at the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium in the capital ahead of their upcoming five-match T20I series, scheduled to start on September 1 at the same venue.

The Tigers are scheduled to practice between 10:00am to 01:00pm while the Kiwis will train between 02:00pm to 05:00pm during their first-day training session after arriving in Dhaka on Tuesday. 

Both the teams earlier completed a mandatory three-day room quarantine which ended on Thursday at their team hotel and all the members of the squads were also reported Covid-19 negative during their tests.

Ace all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan, who arrived in Dhaka on early Wednesday, will join the team in practice from Saturday as his three-day mandatory quarantine will be completed today.

Meanwhile, New Zealand top-order batsman Finn Allen, who was earlier tested Covid-19 positive and currently in isolation, will remain absent from the training sessions till he comes out corona negative.

Both the teams will complete a five-day training session at the same venue before the series opener on September 1.

The remaining matches of the series will be held on September 3, 5, 8 and 10 respectively as all the matches of the series will start at 04:00pm BST.
