Bangladesh Army’s Rapidly Deployable Battalion (BANRDB-4) deployed in the Northern Sector of the United Nations Organisation Stabilisation Mission in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (MONUSCO), has been conducting convoy escort since August 7 to ensure the safety of general people from the hands of the rebel.

The infiltration of rebel armed forces has been taking place in the past few weeks in the Irumu territory under Ithuri province. In this situation, the governor of Ithuri Province requested the Force Commander and the Northern Sector Commander to provide convoy escort.

Following this, from August 7, BANRDB-4 in Northern Sector started operating convoy escort for the safety of all vehicles and public transport from Commanda to Luna and from Commanda to Mambalenga.
